Lulu Faces Loss is an incredible book. The author did a great job explaining how Lulu dealt with the grief of losing her Grandma and helped others too. The part that I found most helpful was the part where Lulu did things that reminded her of her Grandmother. I would recommend this book for kids who have lost a loved one. As someone who has lost my father, I found this book helpful for me to cope with grief. With the help of this book, I have been able to understand better.

Love, love, love this book! Grab some Kleenex…as this will make you cry. Having 3 young kids who lost their papa last year to a horrific battle with cancer-this book really hit home. The writing style paints a very realistic picture and story that so many will be able to relate to […] The illustrations are fun and colorful, yet true to life and depict the reality of some of the side effects one might experience when terminally ill.

As a mom to two grieving young boys, I loved this book. In a world where we are told that being sad is wrong, this story honors and validates Lulu’s feelings of grief […] The author explains something that took me years to understand: Sometimes, yes, we can feel encouraged AND sad at the same time… and that is okay. In a culture averse to talking about the realities of death this book is its own encouragement for those who read it.
